Inclusive, Unique, and Sustainable Textile Craftsmanship

Fody Fabrics was founded in 2020 as a pilot project with a simple powerful idea: transforming high-quality textile deadstock into handmade products crafted by individuals with intellectual disabilities or those facing social disadvantages. Here, they find a supportive, educational environment to unlock and express their skills.

An initiative that seamlessly generates social, environmental, and economic value, Fody officially became an innovative social benefit corporation in 2022.

Its artisanal workshops are places where every piece is one-of-a-kind, and every purchase supports a tangible cause.

The Partnership

Our partnership blossomed during TEDxCervia 2026, the Treasure edition, where we took part as Visionary Partners.

Our idea was to leave attendees with a memento of the event, and we chose Fody because we wanted an item that held value and told a story: how beautiful things can emerge from the unexpected, thanks to people and their dedication.

Choosing the pouches designed by the Fody team was ideal. They beautifully represented the theme of this edition and the core values that Technacy embodies every day. They are beautiful objects with a soul.

We look forward to involving Fody in other future projects as well!

We commissioned Fody Fabrics to create the pouches for the event attendees, unique items handcrafted from high-quality textile deadstock by the skilled hands of artisans with intellectual disabilities or from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Every pouch has allowed us to support Fody’s mission and raise awareness of their work.

Every participant took home one of these pouches as a memento of the experience, an item that is both beautiful and deeply meaningful.
